Low sodium Italian dressing

This low sodium Italian dressing is the perfect alternative to the store-bought version. It's delicious and so easy to make at home that it's not worth buying.

INGREDIENTS

Italian dressing essentials

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp water
  • 1 tsp nutritional yeast (optional)
  • ½ tsp Dijon mustard
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes

Dried herbs - Note 1

  • ¼ tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp dried basil
  • ¼ tsp dried parsley

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Combine all ingredients in a mason jar, cover and shake vigorously until dressing is well combined and emulsified.
  • Use immediately or store in the refrigerator in an airtight container.

NOTES

Note 1 - Italian seasoning
You can replace these herbs with 3/4 teaspoon of Italian seasoning. You can try my salt free Italian seasoning blend for this.
